Christmas is about family and friends. It is about sharing and giving. For over eighty five years the number one goal of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau has been to ensure that every child in the community has a smile on their face on Christmas Day.
The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau was originally established in 1930 as the Christmas Exchange. Today it serves as a centralized, year round toy warehouse for toys to be gathered, sorted, stored and shipped to Christmas Bureaus and Community agencies, across the entire metro Vancouver area. In an average year, they ship approximately 100,000 items and distribute toys, clothes and food vouchers to over a 1,000 low income families in Vancouver during the holidays.
As a registered non-profit organization, the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau relies on volunteers and a number of fundraising events throughout the year to support our goals. They hope that your company will join them in celebrating their 85th year tradition at the inaugural Jingle Bell Ball to be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel on November 5th, 2015.
This Gala event allows the Bureau to acknowledge those who have supported the Christmas Bureau over the years, including the leaders of the twelve other Christmas Bureaus that they work with across the Lower Mainland. This evening will recognize each and every sponsor and valuable volunteer that has and continues to support the ongoing work of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.
For information on the Gala and to purchase tickets online, please contact the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau at office@lmcb.ca or 604.253.7191.
On November 5th, be a Christmas Star because it’s all about the kids.
